the location was convenient for exploring the town and the restaurant served delicious food, especially the Thukpa. the staff, particularly Abhishek and other service members, were exceptional. the rooms were cozy with amenities like heating beds, making our stay comfortable during the cold winter. the manager, Paul, ensured any issues were promptly addressed, adding to our pleasant experience. An aspect to note is the hotel's cash-only policy and the need to dine in the restaurant, which may not be ideal for elderly guests. we found the proximity to landmarks like Lloyd Botanical Garden, Mahakal Temple, and Japanese Peace Pagoda, coupled with the nearby lively food joints and relaxing sun terrace, contributed to a memorable family bonding experience. Despite minor inconveniences, Hotel Golden Orchid truly made our vacation special, and we would recommend it for a family getaway.

the staff was SUPER accommodating, location jaw-droppingly convenient, room cleaning services top-notch, and the bed warmers - a real comfort! Can't wait for the renovated patio restaurant, too - it's going to be a game-changer!

I loved the cozy wooden rooms at the property, perfect for the Darjeeling vibe. The staff, especially Mr Paul, were helpful and the in-house restaurant, "Patio," offered delicious food. Easy access to Chowrasta mall. cash-only policy, dirty road, and lack of room service were drawbacks. Being located high up is inconvenient, but the carpeted floors were a nice touch.

clean rooms - super close to the centre - gained great local insights - the fantastic heater blanket in bed was a nice touch.

My family vacation at Golden Orchid was delightful! Stayed here for a week. the location is peaceful yet near Mall Road. Room amenities, like heating mattress, were comforting. the attached restaurant, Patio, served delicious food. Mr Paul, the manager, was extremely helpful with car rentals. A wonderful stay for sightseeing and relaxation!

Golden Orchid exceeded my expectations in terms of value for money. The room was cozy and clean, and the staff provided warm water and a blanket warmer, which made my stay comfortable. The location was convenient, with a beautiful mountain view from the seating area. The staff, especially Paul and Chewang, were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again.

The breakfast selection could be improved.
