I recently had a wonderful stay at Great Trails Riverview Thanjavur By Grt Hotels. The staff were incredibly polite and attentive, always ready to help with any request. I especially enjoyed the spacious rooms that offered breathtaking river views and the delightful Tamil breakfast included in my stay, featuring freshly cut fruits and a variety of savory dishes. The serene ambiance, with peacocks roaming nearby, made for a truly relaxing experience, and I loved spending evenings by the pool.

The location is a bit remote.

This place suits me perfectly, providing everything I need like outdoor swimming pools, 24-hour reception, and a game room. During my first stay, the staff even helped with currency exchange recommendations. I highly recommend trying the delicious breakfast! I'm coming back for a business trip.

It was just a decent option for a weekend getaway in Thanjavur with good value considering the price it charged. We enjoyed a lovely swimming pool area after a long day of sightseeing. Make sure to check out the village program nearby for a unique experience.

I had a fantastic stay at Great Trails Riverview! I loved my River View Room with Balcony, which offered amazing views and was super spacious. The food was delightful, especially the breakfast buffet with a wide variety, including mouth-watering Tamil and Kerala dishes. The staff were incredible, always helpful and attentive. The pool area was beautiful, and it was great to relax by the riverside in such a serene atmosphere.

The complimentary breakfast varied in quality.

the breakfast was something to look forward to, but now it's a sad selection of cheap jams. i also expected a room upgrade due to the staff's inexperience, but i guess they reserve that for more 'important' guests. shame. the check-in was painfully slow, not what one woudl expect from a so-called 5-star establishment.

This resort near the Vennar River offers a beautiful garden and tranquil atmosphere, perfect for families. The attentive service enhanced our stay, particularly with the efficient dining options.

The swimming pool was large and well-maintained, perfect for relaxing. The kids' club could use more activities for younger guests.

The serene riverside setting was remarkable, accentuated by the spacious River View Room featuring a comfortable balcony. Dining outdoors, I savored expertly prepared Indian dishes, particularly the flavorful vegetarian meals from the hotel's own organic farm. However, the restaurant lacked air conditioning, which made it uncomfortable during warmer hours, and mosquitoes were a frequent nuisance in both dining and room areas. Despite these minor inconveniences, the attentive staff made the experience memorable, providing great service and thoughtful touches throughout my stay.

The hotel has a lovely riverside location, perfect for family activities. I especially enjoyed morning Tai Chi practice in the well-maintained garden. Plus, the staff surprised us with fresh fruits from their own garden, making our stay even more special.

In my wife’s opinion, the bathroom needs a refresh.
