We recently stayed in a historic mansion during a city break and it was an amazing experience. The warm welcome we received from the staff made us feel right at home. The spacious and airy rooms were a perfect fit and the huge bathrooms were a plus. The food was delicious and the staff was very attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the local delicacies and the fact that they offered a guided tour of the mansion was an added bonus. it was a relaxing and enjoyable stay with beautiful grounds and a great location.

While our stay was great, the only issue we had was with the massage service. The regular therapist was not available and we were assigned an assistant who was not very professional.

We had a delightful stay at this hidden gem in the Chettinad area of Southern India. The location was perfect, just a short stroll to the Sunday market before 5. The room was spacious and well-appointed, with a beautifully tiled floor and comfortable furniture. The bathroom was clean and equipped with all the necessary toiletries. The service was impeccable, especially Myilsamy at the restaurant who took great care of us. The breakfast on the garden terrace was a treat, and I still dream about the masala omelet I had there.

The limited food options in the cafe and restaurant.

Absolutely loved our stay at this charming accommodation property. The old world heritage added a special touch to the spacious rooms. We had the pleasure of going on a bike tour with Shiva, exploring villages and heritage sites, and stopping for coffee along the way. The guide was fantastic. Highly recommend the bike tour experience. a delightful stay at Visalam.

Luxurious amenities, breathtaking property with exceptional service. I stayed in a ground floor room which had exclusive furnishings and was spacious. The highlight was an amazing massage with private facilities. The outdoor swimming pool was clean and serene. The hotel offered guided tours of the area by a local native staff member which was fascinating. The restaurant was good but could have more variety.

The only minor issue was the limited variety of food on the breakfast buffet. Overall had an unforgettable stay at this hotel, with top-class service and amenities.
