I had the most amazing stay at a charming B&B with a breathtaking view of a historic castle ruin. The hosts, Garrett and Patricia, were incredibly warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The organic food garden provided delicious meals, and I even had the chance to enjoy delightful conversations with fellow guests. The location on a small island in the Shannon mouth was romantic and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The value for the price was exceptional, and I would highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone seeking a unique and unforgettable experience. I can't wait to visit again!

If you are looking for a secluded getaway, this is the perfect spot. Located in an isolated area on the west side of the island, you'll have a breathtaking view of the castle ruins from your window. The hosts will warmly welcome you, offering tea and biscuits upon arrival. The breakfast is delicious, with the option of cereals and yoghurt, as well as a full fry. You'll also have the opportunity to explore the nearby Abbey outside of town.

The decor could do with a bit of updating, but it's not a major concern for me.

What a gem! This hotel is nestled in a stunning location on a small island opposite the partially flooded ruins of a beautiful castle. The tranquility of this quiet area was refreshing, and the staff was attentive to every detail. The rooms were well-equipped with toiletries, towels, and a great view of the castle. Breakfast was a real treat with delicious local ingredients.

Scenic location with walks around the island. Good breakfast options. No view from rear rooms but immediate vicinity is fantastic. Charming and homely atmosphere. Warm hospitality from owners. Delicious coffee and biscuits on arrival. Homely fire and cooking. Spacious, clean, and well-equipped room. Easy access to main highway. Excellent breakfast.

We had a fantastic time exploring the stunning surroundings of this B&B. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful, and we loved the complimentary breakfast and wi-fi. The location was perfect for us, with plenty of great walks and beautiful views just a short distance away. We also really appreciated the comfortable and clean accommodations, which were a great combination of modern and historic.

We did find that the showers in the room were a bit underwhelming. We had trouble with the water pressure, and the hot water wasn't always reliable.

The hosts were very welcoming and our room had a beautiful view. The home-cooked dinner was the best we had on our trip and the breakfast was delicious with fresh fruits and vegetables. We had a spacious and comfortable bed and enjoyed the opportunity to connect with other guests during dinner.

The twin room was a bit small for two people and the sitting room was frequently occupied due to the weather. Towels could be better in terms of size and fluffiness.

The location of Castle View House is simply stunning, with a castle that you can explore right on your doorstep. The hosts, Gareth and Patricia, are incredibly friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is top-notch and the rooms are bright and airy. Perfect for families with children.

Felt most welcome, no complaints.

The breakfast was delicious, with a good variety of choices. The location was peaceful and offered a lovely view of the nearby castle. to a TV in the room, there was also a guest lounge with a larger TV, which was a nice bonus.

The guest rooms did not have tea and coffee making facilities, which was a bit of a disappointment. We had to rely on the kindness of the landlord to make tea for us on a couple of occasions.
