The hospitality at this place was top-notch. Arriving late due to unforeseen circumstances, we were warmly welcomed. Our room felt like stepping into a fluffy cloud after a long journey. The fresh, clean ambiance and gracious hosts were a silver lining on a stormy day. Cons: Narrow country roads.

The location to Farnham Estate was ideal for attending a wedding in the hotel. the cottage is gorgeous, with a great comfortable common area downstairs and the bedroom was perfect. Bridie and Mary were fabulous hosts. When I rang in advance to ask for a taxi number, Bridie insisted that they would drop us over to the wedding after we checked in. This was so lovely and helpful. I highly recommend the cottage if you’re attending an event near the estate. the property was perfect, offering insights on relaxation in the garden area and leisure/TV room, as well as being close to landmarks like Killykeen Forest Park, Cavan Cathedral, and Cloughoughter Castle.

The rooms were newly renovated and spotless, and the shower was lovely. the hosts were very welcoming and chatty, making us feel at home. They offered self-catering breakfast with a variety of options, including juice, bread, eggs, cereal, and tea. the location was quiet and not far from town, making it a convenient stopover point.

The bed was a bit small for our liking, and we would have preferred a larger size. the kitchen facilities could have been more equipped, as we found ourselves needing a few more items that were not provided.

The hosts, Mary and Bridie, were excellent and provided a warm and welcoming service. They even prepared a cup of tea or coffee upon our arrival and had a fully stocked kitchen for breakfast. They were also considerate enough to provide a cot for our baby and even arranged for a toy to be left at the hotel reception. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the communal living area and kitchen were lovely, especially with the wood burning stove. The location was very convenient for attending a wedding at the nearby Farnham hotel.
