I had an incredible time at this hotel. The cleanliness was top-notch, and the hotel facilities were outstanding. They even had parking available for cars, which was a plus. The location down to the waters edge of the Unsinn River was breathtaking. It allowed for easy access to nearby attractions like Mullaghmore, Yeats country, Westport, and Galway. The hotel's dining rooms, reception rooms, downstairs kitchen, and party area were all beautifully designed. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

The converted barns were spacious with well-equipped kitchens and modern bathrooms. the grounds were beautiful with lovely gardens to explore. the friendly staff provided useful information about local attractions and recommended nearby pubs.

The location was a bit remote and not convenient for getting taxis. Some of the furniture in the castle bar was worn.

I was a lone traveler during my recent stay at Markree Castle and I must say, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. They made sure I had a lovely table by the window for breakfast, which is a rare treat for solo travelers. The castle itself is a charming mix of history and style, although a touch of modernity wouldn't hurt! The heating in my room was a bit too intense, but the hotel promptly sent someone to help and were extremely proactive in resolving the issue. The surrounding grounds are simply breathtaking, perfect for couples, groups, and even weddings. The staff and the adorable dog named Roisin truly made my stay extra special. I highly recommend this unique place to stay for anyone visiting the area.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a magnificent castle in Ireland. The hospitality at Markree Castle was absolutely wonderful. Every single worker was delightful and welcoming, answering all my questions with great detail and never seeming annoyed. The attention to detail in the castle's design was truly magnificent, making it a unique and fun experience. I also loved being able to walk around and explore the beautiful grounds. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would even consider having my wedding here. Special shoutout to Alex and Veronica for their excellent service.

For a relaxing break with stunning views, Markree Castle offers the perfect location. The grounds are fabulous, and guests can enjoy drinks on the patio or take a walk around the extensive grounds. The apartments are clean and spacious, with fully equipped kitchens, including washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets. The staff is helpful and friendly, offering suggestions for activities and providing excellent service.

One negative aspect mentioned by guests is the potential for noise disturbances, particularly from pre-wedding celebrations that may occur in the shared courtyard.
