Markree Courtyard offers a beautiful setting with modern amenities, including a lovely breakfast. the accommodation, once a stable, has been beautifully restored, making it a unique find for travelers. Friendly and attentive owner, Anthony, ensures a warm welcome. the room was spacious, spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds and top-class ensuite. the continental breakfast was exceptional, served by extremely helpful and pleasant staff.

No armchairs in the room.

Markree Courtyard offers all I need: Free parking, TV, kettle, VIP service. Great for hiking, cycling, fishing, diving, horseback riding. Wheelchair access, no smoking - perfect. Staff shared the local taxi number. Can't wait to return for Easter.

Had a cozy room, ideal location next to the castle, and superior furnishings. the room was warm, and the contemporary design added a touch of elegance to our Christmas stay. Loved the proximity to the castle and the warm ambiance of the room during the festive season.

Wifi was spotty, and there were a few breakfast hiccups. the breakfast choices were limited, and the wifi connection was unreliable.

The experience at this accommodation was outstanding, with exceptional grounds and rooms that were comfy and clean. the staff, particularly Anthony, was incredibly friendly and helpful, adding to the overall positive stay. A minor improvement could be offering lunch or dinner onsite along with a hot cooked breakfast.

The room was amazing - spotlessly clean, very large, with extremely comfortable beds and top-class ensuite. The continental breakfast was the best I've ever had. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. The beautiful grounds and friendly cats added a lovely touch to our stay. The only slight drawback was the poor WiFi connection, but overall a wonderful experience.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at a beautifully renovated accommodation, once a stable in its past life. the owner personally greeted us upon arrival, making us feel welcome. the rooms were exceptional, with every detail carefully attended to. We were pleasantly surprised by a complimentary bottle of Prosecco and the fabulous walk-in wet shower. the breakfast in the morning was delightful, with a nice selection of cheese, cold meats, smoked salmon, eggs. the staff and owners were friendly and helpful, ensuring our stay was going well. it was a unique find and would make a fantastic wedding location. the beautiful surroundings and peaceful ambiance added to the charm.

Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like. 💯

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful and newly renovated accommodation, which used to be a stable in its past life. the staff/owners were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, making us feel right at home. the rooms were stunning, with brand new decor and a lovely shower. the location was perfect for our visit to Markree Castle, where we were attending a wedding. We were also impressed by the upcoming new function area. the breakfast in the morning was delightful and overall, we would highly recommend staying at this unique find on our road trip around Ireland.
