The owner of Royal Valentia Hotel went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. He gave us fantastic suggestions for hiking and taking photos on the nearby islands. The location of the hotel was excellent, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. We were sad to leave and will definitely be back in the future. Despite a minor issue with the water in the shower, our room was beautiful and had a great view. I highly recommend this hotel for a memorable stay.

Our bedroom, though small, was cleverly designed and impeccably clean. The shower could have had better pressure, but it was still quite satisfying. The magnificent stairway added a touch of grandeur to the overall ambiance. The dining room, once frequented by notable guests like Edward VII, had a gorgeous atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food was absolutely delicious. This hotel is refreshingly unpretentious, which only adds to its appeal. Additionally, the island itself offers a plethora of natural wonders to explore, from its wild and picturesque landscapes to its ever-changing weather. I highly recommend this hotel for those seeking peace and quiet in elegant surroundings.

The only downside we experienced was the chilly weather during our visit in February, which made beach activities less enjoyable. Additionally, the WiFi connectivity in Valentia was poor, but this is a common issue in a place known for its Victorian internet infrastructure.

I should mention that we did encounter a minor setback with the shower. The water release button was unfortunately seized, which prevented us from enjoying a refreshing shower.

We had a wonderful stay at Royal Valentia. the room had a stunning four-poster bed and breathtaking views of the sea. It was a bit pricier than other rooms, but definitely worth it for a special trip. the staff, especially a young gentleman who served us during breakfast and check-out, were incredibly friendly and helpful. the location was extremely convenient, especially for those taking the ferry to the island. Being right on the seafront, with a pub and restaurant in the hotel, made for a delightful experience. Plus, there were plenty of other dining options just a short walk away in the village.

Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like! 😊

Our romantic couple’s escape was filled with some memorable moments even though the accommodation did have its faults. We loved the fact that we got complementary chocolates and wine on arrival. the hotel’s location was breathtakingly beautiful with plenty of picturesque spots to explore. We especially enjoyed grabbing a bite to eat at some of the local cafes and restaurants.

the room was not clean, and we had to deal with some creepy crawlies. Lastly, the hotel had a musty smell, and the furniture looked old and outdated.

I recently stayed at the Royal Valentia for a short trip and it exceeded my expectations. The stunning view of the Atlantic from my room was breathtaking, especially during the sunrise. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, accommodating me for dinner and breakfast even though I arrived late. The food was delicious, especially the seafood, like the amazing crab claws. The location was ideal, with beautiful views, close proximity to pubs and the mainland, and plenty of parking. The hotel took excellent precautions to ensure a safe and relaxing stay, and the bed was super comfy. Can't wait to return!
