I had a wonderful stay at Shelmalier House. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, providing useful information about the area and recommendations for dining. The property itself was clean and spacious, with beautiful woodwork throughout. The breakfast was outstanding, with a wide variety of fresh and high-quality food. I highly recommend this family B&B for its central location, comfortable accommodations, and excellent hospitality.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel in Athlone! The location was perfect, right off the highway and not far from the town centre. The service was top-notch, with the helpful and kind staff providing excellent housekeeping and offering assistance with tours and tickets. The room amenities were fantastic, with ironing facilities, tea and coffee facilities, and a flat-screen TV for entertainment. The hotel also had a beautiful garden area with comfortable garden furniture, perfect for relaxing. The breakfast provided was delicious and plentiful, with a wide variety of options to choose from. I was extremely impressed with the comfort and quality of this hotel.

Breakfast was a great start to the day, including some tasty local ham and homemade bread. the hosts were welcoming and friendly, making us feel at home. Location was great, allowing us to easily visit different places in the area. the garden was beautifully maintained, adding to the peaceful ambiance of the place.

The taps in the bathroom had very inconsistent water temperatures, which made for an uncomfortable shower. parking was limited, which made it difficult to find a spot sometimes.

The location of the hotel is convenient as it is near the town center of Athlone. Additionally, the hotel is right off the highway, making it easily accessible for travelers.

The owner's attitude was rude and they were not helpful upon check-in, making our experience unpleasant.
