I recently stayed at the lovely Lakeside Hotel for a short overnight trip. The hotel's location right by the river Shannon is absolutely beautiful, and the waterfront room I had was a treat. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, making me feel right at home. The bed was very comfortable, and the restaurant and bar served a delicious meal. a fantastic experience!

We absolutely loved our stay at this luxurious 4-star hotel! The location in a beautiful village across the bridge from Killaloe was perfect for us as it offered stunning views of the shore of Lough Derg. We enjoyed taking leisurely walks and exploring the charming surroundings, all within a convenient walking distance from the hotel. The service was top-notch, with friendly staff who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The room was spacious and well-appointed, with amenities like heating, air conditioning, and a lovely terrace where we could relax and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere. The hotel also offered excellent dining options, with a restaurant that served delicious breakfast and a bar/lounge area where we could unwind and enjoy a drink.

However, the location of the hotel is a major plus, as it is right on the lake and close to bars and restaurants. The rooms at the river have stunning views and are worth the extra cost. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast options are plentiful, and the leisure facilities, including the water slide in the swimming pool, are great for families.

The hotel as a whole was a bit disappointing with its dated and grubby appearance.

the lakeside hotel & leisure centre in killaloe was an amazing stay. from the warm and welcoming staff to the surprise birthday celebration they arranged for my daughter, everything exceeded our expectations. the pool was fantastic and the live music by reilly made for a fun and memorable evening. highly recommend this hotel!

payment mishap

I recently stayed at The Lakeside Hotel for an event and it was perfect. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The rooms overlooking the lake were absolutely amazing, with stunning views. The hotel's leisure centre was top-notch, offering a fantastic pool and leisure facilities. The breakfast served at the hotel was delicious. I had a comfortable and enjoyable experience at The Lakeside Hotel and would gladly stay here again.

I had a fantastic stay at a hotel in this city. The staff were amazing, the room was comfy, and the food was delicious. The hotel is in a great location right on the lake/river, which provided a beautiful view. The breakfast was also great, with a wonderful assortment of choices. I had a wonderful experience and can't wait to return.

Lovely location. Excellent food both in the bar and breakfast. Comfortable and spacious rooms with river views. Great amenities like TV with YouTube and Netflix. Welcoming and helpful staff. Beautiful surrounding area with plenty to see and do. Nice pool area.

I had the most wonderful stay at a hotel by the lake. The wedding I attended was decorated beautifully for Christmas, adding a special touch to the occasion. The staff were friendly and efficient. The food was fabulous. And the lakeside room I stayed in was absolutely amazing with stunning views. I highly recommend this hotel for a memorable experience.

Nothing not to like.

The hotel had a good location with beautiful surroundings. the staff members were friendly and very helpful. We were given two complimentary drinks on arrival and the view from our room was breathtaking.

We also felt that the food options were limited, especially during breakfast. we were not impressed with our stay and would not consider returning.

Lovely town, family room, good size, friendly staff, tasty breakfast, memorable staff.

Didn’t dislike anything about the property.
