We were welcomed like friends. Beautiful gardens, spacious and clean room with fridge and tea/coffee facilities. Amazing food, delicious meals with attention to detail. Polite and friendly staff. Great traditional Irish craic. Lovely building and surroundings. Walking distance to Ardara Town. Great breakfast. Very clean. Unique art deco and Irish charm in decor.

The converted outbuildings were excellent with a balcony overlooking beautiful countryside. Spotless and cozy, with a 1600s separate building. Sheets and towels changed daily. Smashing bar area with candles and fire. Staff were friendly and obliging. Amazing breakfast with local produce. Comfy beds and charming atmosphere. Perfect location near scenic town of Ardara. Just stunning.

Oh, and I absolutely adored having to wait for my room and dealing with a chef who walked out during dinner. Such a delight!

Guests have enjoyed sitting on the balcony and listening to the birdsong, creating a peaceful atmosphere. The breakfast options, particularly the full Irish, have been praised by visitors. The friendly and attentive staff have made the stay enjoyable for guests, providing excellent service.

Some areas of the hotel could use a little updating, such as the paintwork on the exterior of the building. However, overall, the hotel is clean, comfortable, and full of character.

As longer term business travelers, we appreciated the warm and welcoming atmosphere at Woodhill House. The owner, John, treated us like family and provided us with valuable local information. The beautiful surroundings and well-maintained gardens added to the charm of the property. The food was top-notch and reflected the high level of attention to detail. The staff, particularly the father and son team, were friendly and efficient. it felt like staying with friends rather than at a hotel.

Our stay at Woodhill House in Ardara was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and felt like we were part of the family. The location of the hotel was breathtaking, with spectacular views that seemed to stretch for miles. The dinner offered was absolutely amazing, with top-class cuisine that exceeded all expectations. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated in a unique blend of art deco and Irish charm. Despite the chilly bathroom floor , we couldn't have asked for a more gracious host than John. He took the time to personally show us around and even shared tips for exploring the area. We truly felt welcomed into his precious family home. With all these wonderful experiences, we will definitely be returning to Woodhill House. I highly recommend this hotel for a memorable and delightful stay.

Wonderful views of nature and comfortable rooms with beautiful decoration. The breakfast menu had a varied selection. Being able to visit nearby shops and bars that had a welcoming atmosphere was a plus that made for a great experience.

While the scenery was breathtaking, the water pressure in the shower was very low and not really fitting for a modern hotel. the dinner options were a bit expensive, making it hard to eat in every night, even though the food was great.

We had a fantastic stay at Woodhill House. The garden rooms were spacious and the balcony overlooking the beautiful gardens was a lovely touch. The character of the old house added to the charm, and the cozy bar with its crackling fire made for a perfect evening. The gourmet dinner we had was delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Woodhill House is a perfect base for exploring the stunning West Donegal area.
