The room felt stuffy without proper windows for ventilation.

the room was humid and dark—surprisingly oppressive for a 'cave' hotel. i expected a room upgrade for such a ridiculous price, but i got nothing like a welcome gift or even decent service! the alleged 'private terrace' outside room 9 was too tiny for a chair. almost left a good review, but just couldn’t.

Breakfast was outstanding with artisanal ricotta and fresh fruit options. The terrace view was breathtaking, enhancing our dining experience.

Navigating the property can be confusing, and we faced issues retrieving our car, making arrival a bit stressful.

The breakfast was mint, heaps of fresh stuff, but the wifi was a bit weak. Views from the terrace were stunning! Chur for the lovely staff!

Unfortunately, my stay was overshadowed by several challenges. The room was excessively humid and lacked proper ventilation, making it uncomfortable for relaxation. Additionally, the water temperature in the shower was inconsistent, which made showering quite frustrating. I also faced difficulties with getting my luggage to the room due to the challenging terrain leading from the parking area.

Staying in a cave room was a unique experience with stunning views of Matera. The ample space and lovely terrace made it even better. Breakfast was diverse and fresh, setting us up nicely for the day. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our visit.

the staff went above and beyond, carrying our bags up to our apartment and extending breakfast for us even though we checked out late. the location is perfect for exploring the ancient streets and views from the terrace are stunning!

stunning views and easy access to historic landmarks

during my stay, I was mesmerized by the beautiful views of Matera from my room's terrace and loved how a short walk took me to amazing sites like the Church of Saint Peter 'Barisano' and the vibrant local eateries nearby, truly enhancing my weekend exploration.

My stay was memorable! The breakfast was a 12 out of 10 with fresh fruit and cold cuts, but the room’s humidity was a bit uncomfortable. I'd definitely return!
