Hotel Adriano felt like my Italian grandmother's warm embrace—an ideal home base for our Roman escapades! Just a leisurely 20-minute stroll to all the iconic sights, this gem offers delightful breakfasts with tasty options that would make even a pastry chef swoon. And let’s not forget the gin bar, where after a long day, you can unwind with craft cocktails worthy of an award—seriously, it’s like finding a treasure chest in the middle of a maze! My room, though cozy, was more of a luxurious nook to rest my head for the next adventure. Who needs a mansion when you're just steps away from the beauty of Rome?

Lift issues.

The culinary scene was a delight! The breakfast area offered some tasty snacks, and we adored the simple but fresh offerings that started our days right. The location made it so easy to stroll to landmarks within a short distance.

We were initially booked at Hotel Adriano but ended up in the annex due to renovations. Although clean, the room felt outdated, particularly the shower. Also, trying to navigate the shared living area for snacks was a bit confusing, and the tiny elevator made it tough after long days out. Still, everything had its charm!

The award-winning gin bar is a highlight with over 100 gins to choose from, and the mixologist knows his stuff—perfect for unwinding after a long day touring the city. Breakfast was a treat with fresh pastries that started the day right, and the eclectic decor throughout the hotel adds a charming touch to the ambiance.

However, water drainage issues in the shower were a real pain, making it feel like a mini swamp during my stay, and there was an unfortunate lack of hot water at times. Also, being placed in an annex instead of the main building felt isolated, and the limited breakfast variety meant the selection was pretty underwhelming after a few days. The rooms had a tendency to be on the smaller side, making it hard to navigate comfortably, and you could catch some noise from the streets which didn't help with sleep.

All in all, it had its quirks, but the overall experience felt a bit underwhelming given the expectations.
