We had a delightful stay at the charming Villa San Donato B&B. the location was perfect, just a short 5-minute walk from the old town wall and all the major sights of the city. the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfasts offered a wide variety of sweet and salty options. Luca, our friendly host, was incredibly helpful and provided excellent recommendations for local restaurants. it was the perfect base for exploring the beautiful city of Lucca and experiencing the authentic Tuscan food tradition.

the room was clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything I needed, including a kettle and coffee/tea. the large bed had a wonderful mattress, and the balcony offered a lovely view of the garden. the daily cleaning service ensured that the room was always tidy. the hosts, especially Luca, were incredibly friendly and helpful, even picking me up from the train station. the location near the city walls was quiet and allowed for a restful stay. the Tuscan atmosphere of the villa added to its cozy charm. the continental breakfast provided a great start to the day, and the option to hire bikes was a bonus.

We had an absolutely exceptional stay at this B&B near the city walls of Lucca. The lovely old manor house with its comfortable studio room made us sleep like babies. The breakfast served in the garden was a wonderful way to start the day, with a variety of delicious options. The staff, especially Alessandra, were incredibly delightful and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They even saved us when our car broke down, providing assistance and translation at the local garage. We have never been looked after so well and we will definitely be returning to Villa in San Donato. Grazie mille!

We absolutely loved our stay at this B&B. The room was large, spacious, and meticulously clean. The high ceilings and beautiful decor added to the overall charm. The owner, Luca, went above and beyond by picking us up and driving us to the train station. The property itself is stunning, quiet, and conveniently located. The breakfast served each morning was delicious and we appreciated the valuable information and tips provided by Luca about the city of Lucca. We rate this property 11 out of 10!
