Villa Lara is a hidden gem tucked away from the busy tourist area of the main port. The hotel's location up the hill offers a peaceful escape while still being close enough to stroll into town. The rooms boast amazing views for breakfast, allowing guests to start their day with a picturesque view of the mountains or a lovely view of Amalfi. Plus, the fact that breakfast is included makes it even more convenient and enjoyable.

We recently spent a few days in a lovely hotel in the Amalfi coast. Villa Lara provided exceptional service, going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. From arranging transfers and day trips to upgrading us to their executive suite, they truly exceeded our expectations. The staff were outstanding and the hotel boasted stunning views of the sea. The rooms were clean and the Italian breakfast was delightful. We highly recommend this gem of a hotel.

I had a fantastic stay at a hotel in this city. The hotel had the best view of the town from my balcony, and it was a wonderful experience to have breakfast while taking in the breathtaking scenery. The staff, including Nello, Luca, and their colleagues, went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and ensure that I had an amazing stay. They even provided a complimentary upgrade when a room became available. They were always available to help me book trips and taxis, treating me like family.

Our stay at Villa Lara was absolutely incredible. We were blown away by the stunning views from our room and the cozy veranda where we enjoyed our breakfasts. The location of the hotel was perfect, just a short walk from the center of town. This hotel is a real gem with beautifully appointed rooms and stunning views. It is very well located, with easy access to everything in the heart of Amalfi. The staff are absolutely lovely and go above and beyond to make you feel at home. The room had everything we needed, and though it was a bit quirky with only one skylight window for natural light, it was spacious and cleaned daily. The highlight was definitely breakfast, with a delicious buffet of eggs, bacon, pastries, fresh fruit cereals and great coffee, all enjoyed on the deck overlooking the town and sea.

I had an amazing stay at a hotel in a prime location, close to everything I wanted to explore. The service was exceptional, with staff going above and beyond to help me plan my days and arrange reservations. The views from the hotel were magnificent, and the breakfast spread was fantastic. A few minor drawbacks, like steps to the room and thin walls, but overall I highly recommend this hotel for its location, service, and breathtaking views.

Great location close to the city center and city transportation. Nice retreat for peace and quiet from the busy streets. the staff was exceptional and everyone was more than willing to help us with recommendations. the hotel has many sitting areas outside to enjoy the magnificent view.

The room was identical to pictures, but my one complaint is with the beds. the twin mattresses pulled into the room to accommodate a family of 4 were severely lacking and unusable.

The location provided a sense of quiet and peacefulness, yet it was just a short, easy walk to the center of town. The entrance felt as if we were walking through an enchanted garden, opening up to a breathtaking view of the town and sea. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, engaging us in warm conversation. Despite the tight space, the triple room was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. We enjoyed watching the cute donkey neighbors from our room.
