This place is mind-blowingly awesome! The staff are super friendly and helpful, storing your luggage is no problemo! The bar downstairs is jaw-droppingly FABULOUS, and the rooms are clean, comfy, and spacious. I'll definitely stay here again!

Super cool hostel with friendly staff, just across the road from the station. Bunk room and accessible toilets available. Laundry facilities and a great bar with local craft beer. Plenty of dining options in the small town of Tanabe and a stroll down to the beach is worth it.

Felt at ease, nothing was too much trouble.

Great location for Kumano Kodo hike, next to train station. Clean dorm with comfy beds, curtains, powerplug, and light for good sleep. Friendly owner with helpful tips. Nice bar with locals and travelers.

We had an amazing time at this hostel! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, giving us tips and suggestions to make our stay enjoyable. The hostel's location was perfect, just a minute away from the station and with easy access to buses for exploring the surrounding area. We also loved the fact that there was a bar on-site, where we could relax and mingle with other guests and locals.

Honestly, there wasn't much to dislike about our experience. Everything went smoothly and we had a great time overall.

I recently stayed at Django Hostel in Tanabe for one night. The location was perfect for my hiking trip on the Kumano Kodo trail, as it was right by the train station and the bus stop for the start of the Nakahechi route. The owner was friendly and spoke good English. The hostel had a cozy atmosphere with a nice bar downstairs. The rooms were newly decorated and had comfortable bedding. The facilities were clean and there were helpful materials like schedules and maps available.

Couldn't recommend this hotel more.
