As a solo traveler, I had a unique experience staying at a traditional Japanese inn near the Hakone-Yumoto station. The location was so convenient, just a short walk down the hill from the station. The ryokan was nestled right beside a rushing river, creating a picturesque and soothing atmosphere. The room I stayed in had beautiful views of the river, adding to the overall charm. The service provided by the staff was exceptional, with friendly and attentive attendants catering to my every need. The breakfast offered was sophisticated and delicious, with a choice between Japanese and local cuisine. The private bath in my room was a highlight, allowing me to relax and unwind while enjoying the stunning surroundings. the experience at this ryokan was truly memorable.

One drawback of the ryokan was the basic toilet facilities, with limited options and only a few available for guests.

For the price we paid, the value was exceptional. The room was cozy and the view of the river was fantastic. The location was superb, right next to the bus stop, with beautiful views of the surrounding hills and trees. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made our stay memorable.

The hospitality at this traditional ryokan was outstanding. the staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcomed during our stay. the kaiseki dinner was an incredible experience, with the hotel accommodating all of our special food requests. the traditional rooms were beautifully decorated and gave us a true taste of Japanese culture. Additionally, the private bath was a wonderful amenity that allowed us to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring. the location of the ryokan was also great, being within walking distance of the train station and offering beautiful views of the river.

We did have a couple of minor issues during our stay. One was the presence of spiders in the onsen, which made it difficult for us to fully enjoy the experience.

We were initially hesitant to book Fukuzumiro due to negative comments, but we had an incredible experience. The old Japanese housing and warm staff made us feel truly immersed in the culture. The private onsen was always available and the dinner was exquisite. we highly recommend this unique and charming ryokan.

The location of the ryokan is convenient, being near the Hakone Yumote station, which is just a short walk away. it is situated by the river, providing a tranquil atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and traditional, with tatami mats and a view of the inner pond with koi fish. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, ensuring a comfortable stay. Guests can enjoy a relaxing onsen experience, with both public and private baths available. The delicious Japanese dinner served in the rooms is definitely a highlight.

The onsen can sometimes be crowded and the private bath is a bit small.

We loved this place! The hotel is located next to a beautiful river and just on the outskirts of the city, making it a peaceful and scenic escape. I had an amazing stay at this four-star hotel! The location next to the river added an extra special touch to the overall experience. The hotel is conveniently situated just on the outskirts of central Hakone, making it easy to explore the area. The staff provided excellent service, including a taxi service for added convenience. The room amenities, such as air conditioning and a sitting area, made my stay comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel also offers a spa & wellness center and a garden area, perfect for relaxation. Lastly, the hot spring bath was a wonderful way to unwind and soak in the tranquility of the surroundings.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location was a nice bonus, being within walking distance of the train station and close to the bus stop. The staff were all amazing and definitely the highlight of our trip. They were always helpful and forever smiling. The room amenities were great, with air conditioning, a sitting area, and an in-room safe. The dining area had a bar/lounge area where we enjoyed delicious meals. The spa & wellness centre was a great place to relax, and the garden area added to the serene atmosphere. this place exceeded our expectations and we would recommend it to others.

The only downside was that it could be a little cleaner, but this was a minor issue. Despite this, we still had an amazing time and would definitely stay here again.
