It was nestled in a beautiful forest and it was a short walk to a stunning coast. Being surrounded by nature was definitely a highlight. Another advantage of the hotel was the private onsens. There were multiple options to choose from and it was always easy to find an available one.

One aspect that I didn't like was the distance from major cities. It was quite far from Tokyo and other main cities, which made it a bit inconvenient to get to.

The private hot springs were amazing and very relaxing. the staff was friendly and accommodating, always making sure we had everything we needed. the breakfast was delicious and very filling, giving us energy for the long hikes we took around the area.

Our room felt a bit cramped, especially when we had to lay out the futon. the biggest issue was the lack of soundproofing, as we could hear other guests using the hot springs both late at night and early in the morning, making it hard to get a good night's rest.

I recently stayed at a lovely hotel in Ito for a weekend getaway. Hanafubuki provided exceptional service and communication, including sending us an English map before our arrival. The staff's spoken and written English were excellent, which was convenient for us as foreign visitors. They were considerate enough to seat us in the dining room without children, as we didn't have any. The private onsen baths were available in various sizes and settings, allowing for a wonderful and relaxing experience. I highly recommend trying the local ice cream sold at their own shop. The meals, with menus printed in English, were deliciously prepared and well-explained. The hotel is surrounded by breathtaking scenery, and there is a beautiful walk close by.
