During my recent stay at Hananoyado Fukuya, I had an amazing experience. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my food allergies, despite the language barrier. They even took the time to call ahead and make sure everything was prepared to my dietary needs. The beautiful garden surrounding the outdoor onsen added to the serene atmosphere of the property.

While the property itself was wonderful, I did find it a bit challenging to reach as it is located up a steep hill. This may be difficult for those with difficulty walking, especially if you take the bus there.

The location of the hotel is very convenient as it is in the center of Moto Hakone, with the Motohakoneko bus stop only a short walk away. We were able to easily explore the area and visit the Hakone Shrine, one of the sights we wanted to see. Additionally, the hotel is quite near to Motohakone pier, although it is uphill.

The hotel is located on a hill, which may require some effort to reach, especially for those with mobility issues.

Impeccable hospitality, excellent food, private onsen and garden, comfortable beds, friendly staff, delicious meals.

Staying at this traditional ryokan was an amazing experience. the location was breathtaking, with stunning views of the mountains and the lake. the hospitality provided by the owners was unparalleled, they went out of their way to make sure we felt comfortable and relaxed. the food was some of the best we have ever tasted- delicious and carefully prepared. the private onsen was an added bonus that allowed us to fully unwind and relax in a peaceful atmosphere.

The walk up to the ryokan was a bit of a challenge, with a steep hill to climb. However, the amazing location and the overall experience at the ryokan made it all worth it.

Private attached bath, delicious meals with accommodations for dietary restrictions. Experienced staff, peaceful setting. Friendly, courteous service. Fantastic view of lake and Mount Fuji. Super relaxing private Onsen. Highly recommend for cultural experience and cuisine enjoyment.

We had an amazing experience staying at this luxurious hotel. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. They were kind and spoke fluent English, which was a big help. The hotel itself had a sleek and traditional feel, with breathtakingly beautiful surroundings. Our room was spacious and had a private onsen on the balcony, which was perfect for relaxing in the cold winter weather. The food was delicious and presented beautifully, and they even accommodated our request for vegetarian meals. The onsen facilities were wonderful, and we were able to enjoy them privately in the evening.
