The preserved building was a beautiful mix of ryokan and boutique hotel. the attention to detail was incredible, with thoughtful gifts in the room and a handy day and night map of the neighborhood. the hotel's respect for the local community was evident, and I loved being able to experience the charm of a hidden gem in Tokyo. - the staff were incredibly polite and accommodating, with helpful notes left by one staff member. the communication, reception, and amenities were top-notch.

The rooms were minimalist, which might not be to everyone's taste. Be prepared for futons and limited furniture.

As a solo traveler, I loved the personal touches and attention to detail at this unique and stylish accommodation. The shared bathroom was surprisingly comfortable, and the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and wanted. The location in a lovely and interesting neighborhood was perfect for exploring, with plenty of shops, cafes, and sightseeing opportunities nearby. The breakfast served in the cute little cafe was a delightful way to start the day. The shower facilities were outstanding, and the high-pressure rainforest shower was a real treat.

Felt so comfortable, no complaints.
