The hotel offers a truly delightful Japanese experience with its traditional building and attention to detail. The private rotenburo are a treat, and the rooms are comfortable and spacious. The staff provides outstanding service, ensuring a pleasant stay. The meals are extraordinary, with both traditional and vegetarian options that are delicious. The in-room onsens add to the overall ambiance, and the shower is awesome.

There aren't many activities available other than enjoying the baths and the delicious meals.

Our brief Hidaji stay was a delightful break during our Japan trip. the tranquil mountain setting, gracious staff, private Onsen with Dyson amenities, and exceptional dining were standout features. the snowfall added to the charm, and nearby attractions like Hirayu Onsen ski area and Takayama beef snacks made it a well-rounded experience. Free parking added convenience, and the cozy lobby exuded luxury. Highly recommended for a unique ryokan experience.
