Located conveniently near Kyoto train station, the staff at this hotel ensured a warm and friendly welcome. They provided excellent recommendations, and even went above and beyond to make a surprise in-room kaiseki dinner for my partner, which was absolutely delicious. The room was comfortable, with a futon bed on a tatami mat, and the bathroom was clean and modern. The breakfast offered a variety of delectable options, ensuring a nutritious start to the day. The memorable hospitality and attention to detail truly made this stay exceptional.

Although the walls were thin and we could hear our neighbors during the night, our exhaustion from exploring Kyoto allowed us to sleep through it.

Our host, a lovely energetic lady, went above and beyond to make us feel at home and provide useful sightseeing advice. the traditional room was fully equipped, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. the onsen was cute and spotlessly clean. And let's not forget the delicious traditional breakfast, the best we had in Japan. If you're looking for an authentic Japanese stay, don't miss this place.

Located in close proximity to the train station, Ohanabo offers a convenient location for exploring Kyoto. With the center of Kyoto just a short distance away, guests can easily access the city's attractions. The ryokan is also conveniently situated near a variety of restaurants, allowing guests to enjoy local cuisine within a few blocks of the accommodation. In terms of facilities, guests can expect clean and comfortable rooms, as well as a shared bathroom that is well-maintained. The staff at Ohanabo are friendly and accommodating, providing excellent service throughout the stay.

One aspect that could be improved upon is the security of the doors, as the lock on some of them may not be the most secure. However, the hotel does provide a safety deposit box for guests' peace of mind.

The room itself was sparsely decorated and the sliding door was a bit creaky. We also noticed a slight cigarette smoke smell in our non-smoking room upon returning from dinner.
