During my stay at Hotel Hotaka, I was blown away by the exceptional location. Being right next to the Mt. Hotaka ropeway meant that I had convenient access to breathtaking mountain views. The onsen resort adjacent to the hotel was a delightful treat, especially the outdoor onsen. The beauty of soaking in the warm waters while snowflakes gently fell around me was truly magical. The food at the hotel was also top-notch, with the Hida beef being a standout. The staff, though not all English-speaking, were still friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend Hotel Hotaka for its stunning location, excellent onsen, and delicious cuisine.

Nestled in the beautiful mountains, this hotel offers a truly authentic Japanese experience. The warm and friendly staff provide excellent service, taking you to your room and ensuring your comfort. The dining experience is remarkable, with a set course of delicious local dishes. The public baths offer a serene and relaxing atmosphere, with different temperature options. The breakfast is another highlight, with a set menu using fresh regional ingredients. The hotel is conveniently located near the bus stop, making it easy to explore the surrounding hot springs.

There is no bar available in the evenings, but guests can still enjoy drinks from the vending machine or purchase sake from the gift shop.

The hotel's view is amazing and it's easy to get around transportation-wise. the onsen is a must-try experience and the food was delicious. Plus, the room was exceptionally clean and comfortable.

The hotel's staff is not very friendly. They didn't even offer to help us with our luggage.
