I stayed at Hotel Monterey for a few days while exploring the vibrant city streets of Kyoto. The hotel's location was perfect, providing easy access to transportation and allowing me to explore the city on foot. It was centrally located, yet still provided a peaceful retreat. The neighboring area was filled with excellent restaurants, adding to the overall experience. The top-floor spa was a highlight, definitely worth the extra cost. We had a fantastic stay at this luxurious hotel. The location was perfect, with the Ikenobo Headquarters just across the street, where we attended a beautiful flower arrangements exhibition during cherry blossom season. It was also conveniently close to the subway and just a short walk to the main shopping area. There were convenience stores nearby for any small items we needed. The staff here provided excellent service throughout our stay. They were always friendly and welcoming, and were able to give us great tourist information. They were even helpful when some of us accidentally left our room keys in the room.

Stayed at Hotel Monterey for our "Three Generations do Japan" trip with my 80-year-old Mum and 27-year-old Daughter. Great location near fashion street and the central area. Elegant building and halls. Loved the happy hour with discounted wine glasses. Excellent spa with Japanese "Onsen" rules. Clean and well-organized room. On-time laundry service. Helpful staff who even reset the air conditioner for us non-Japanese speakers. Would definitely return.
