I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Musse Kyoto Shijo Kawaramachi Meitetsu! The location couldn't have been better - right in the heart of Kyoto's bustling shopping center. Everything from restaurants to shops and attractions were within easy reach. The spacious room was a pleasant surprise and the comfortable beds ensured a good night's sleep. The separate shower and toilet were convenient, and the variety of amenities provided added a nice touch. The buffet breakfast offered a great selection of both Western and Japanese dishes. I also appreciated the unlimited complimentary coffee and chocolate drinks from the vending machine in the lobby. The staff was helpful and check-in/check-out were hassle-free. I highly recommend this hotel for its central location, cleanliness, and excellent amenities.

Perfect location for a romantic escape! The bustling shopping center offered plenty of food and shopping options with nearby bus and train stations to explore the wider area. The room was warm, clean, and comfy with all the needed amenities for a week-long stay. We loved the view of the street from our room.

The standard Japanese breakfast did get a little tiresome after a few days, but we found other nearby options to mix things up. As the hotel is on a main street, it can be a bit noisy at night.

Some street noise can be heard at night, particularly sirens and claxons.

As women travelling alone, we loved the kind and helpful staff at the reception. The room was spacious and comfortable for two tall persons. Daily cleaning and towel change, unless requested otherwise. The breakfast offered a delightful mix of continental and Japanese cuisine. Great location near Gion district and Nishiki market, perfect for exploring food and culture. Complimentary coffee beverages available all day. Would definitely visit again.
