I recently stayed at New Hankyu Kyoto for 4 days as a base to explore the surrounding areas. The hotel was spotless and had a great location just across the street from Kyoto station. This made it incredibly convenient for day trips to Arashiyama, Nara, Fushimi Inari Tori gates, and Nijo Castle. The beds, including the tatami-style kids bed, were very comfortable, and the breakfast options were delicious. The spacious room had all the amenities we needed, including a full bathtub. a fantastic choice for active travelers.
