My recent stay at Hakone Retreat Villa By Onko Chishin was truly exceptional. The in-room onsen was a highlight, allowing me to relax and connect with nature surrounded by beautiful trees and bamboos. The staff provided friendly and attentive service, making sure I had everything I needed for a rejuvenating and relaxed stay. The public onsen, coffee in the lounge, and drop off/pick up service to nearby Fore resort were all thoughtful touches. The breakfast and dinners were delicious and beautifully presented, adding to the overall wonderful experience. I highly recommend this hotel for a memorable stay in Hakone.

Multilingual and attentive staff. Delicious in-room Japanese breakfast and dinner. Private onsen with beautiful forest view.

As someone who is backpacking, I loved the spacious and cozy living space with a private outdoor onsen. The easy transport to and from the apartment/cabin was convenient. The onsite bakery/café in a serene location was excellent. Easy transport links to Lake Ashi and other attractions were highly recommended, and the helpful staff assisted with bus timetables and finding the correct bus stop.

The overall experience exceeded our expectations. Check-in and check-out were easy. The villa, spa, and onsen were marvelous. The traditional Japanese house was stunning and had a private bath. The breakfast and set dinner were beautiful and delicious. The staff provided exceptional customer service, offering bikes for us to ride and shuttling us to dinner. The rustic chic atmosphere was eco-friendly and balanced.

Surrounded by nature and nestled up in the mountains, this hotel offers a tranquil and picturesque setting. Guests can enjoy the beautiful view of the greenery from their spacious rooms, thanks to skylights and patio doors. The staff provides excellent service, offering a breakfast bento box served in the room. Additionally, the private onsen in each villa and the fireplaces create a cozy and relaxing atmosphere.

It would have been great to have cooking facilities in the cabin or even a toaster, although there are many eateries available on-site and in the local area.

During my Christmas stay, I appreciated the complimentary hot chocolate and cookies offered by the hotel. the location was perfect, near a beautiful lake with stunning views, perfect for hiking. I also got to enjoy a private bath in my room, which was a great way to relax after a long day of exploring.

There were not many dining options in the surrounding area. I had to take a taxi to reach the nearest restaurants.

The location of this hotel is absolutely stunning, situated on top of a hill surrounded by nature. The views are breathtaking and the tranquility is unmatched. The service and housekeeping here are top-notch. The staff go above and beyond to ensure that your stay is perfect. They are attentive, friendly, and professional. The welcome drink upon arrival is a nice touch, and the room amenities are impressive. From the heating and air conditioning to the tea and coffee facilities, everything is thoughtfully provided. The mini-bar is fully stocked and all the products are complimentary, which is a wonderful added bonus. The rooms are soundproofed, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The terrace is a lovely spot to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. The free toiletries are of high quality and the electric kettle is convenient for making a cup of tea. The parquet floors add a touch of elegance and the dining restaurant offers a fantastic in-room breakfast option. the service, amenities, and location of this place exceeded my expectations.

The villa was incredibly comfortable and had a fantastic design. The private onsen in the villa was a big hit, especially with the whole family. We loved the free drinks in the room, including beer and soft drinks. The staff was incredibly helpful and polite, making our stay even more enjoyable.
