I had such a wonderful stay at this hidden gem of a guesthouse. The private onsen was a fabulous surprise, and I thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in both the indoor and outdoor baths. The shoe dryers were a lifesaver, keeping my footwear fresh and dry for the next day of adventure. The tatami room was a cozy hangout spot, and the kitchen was well-equipped. The staff were friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. I also loved the delicious sweet potato yams and eggs cooked in the onsen. I highly recommend this guesthouse for its warm atmosphere, beautiful location in a scenic village, and proximity to the Kumano Kodo.

The value for money at this place is amazing, especially compared to other options in the area. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a traditional Ryokan feel. The staff were helpful and the location was convenient for walking the Kumano Kodo.

For breakfast, it would have been better to have more options.

Plum wine, comfortable beds, cool rooms, instant meals, big kitchen, cheap laundry.

I stayed at J-Hoppers Kumano Yunomine Guesthouse for two nights and it was a delightful experience. The staff were friendly and the facilities were wonderful. The hostel felt like a Japanese home, with a well-equipped kitchen and a traditional lounge area. The three private onsens were amazing, especially the outdoor one where you can bathe as the warm rain falls. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the shared lounge was great for socializing. The location in the mountains was quiet, but public transportation made it convenient for exploring the area.

Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

I had a wonderful stay at Yunomine Onsen. The staff was friendly and went above and beyond to help me, especially Hiro who called the bus office to ensure transportation during the holidays. The location is perfect for hiking, and the 3 private onsens were a delightful way to relax. The communal area was cozy and well-equipped with a kitchen and laundry facilities. I highly recommend J-Hoppers Kumano Yunomine Guesthouse.
