Nothing not to love.

Former love hotel with unique rooms, including quirky features from the past. Great staff, especially during typhoon, providing extra free food and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Well-equipped common dining area and clean, spacious dorm rooms. Excellent location near popular temple and shopping centers, with easy access to train station.

Conveniently close to Asakusa attractions and shopping. Near Tawaramachi and Ginza subway line for easy access to Ueno and Akihabara. Plenty of nearby halal and traditional dining options. Large dining and movie rooms, great for meeting people and cooking. Unexpectedly cute breakfast provided.

The hotel offers a spacious Japanese-style room, great access to restaurants and pubs, and is just a 5-minute walk to public transport and the famous Sensoji Temple. The free breakfast is awesome, with free tea, coffee, and even a free mask. It would be even better if there were curtains for each bed.

Felt like royalty, nothing to complain about.

We loved the helpful staff, fantastic room, and massive bathroom. The location was perfect, within walking distance to the Senso-ji Temple, Hanayashiki Amusement Park, Don Quijote shopping, and plenty of restaurants. The communal kitchen was well-equipped and even had a book swap service. The hotel was clean and had great transportation options, with subway lines nearby.

Nothing that we didn't like.

Clean and cozy rooms, just like in the pictures. Excellent facilities including a well-equipped kitchen and affordable washing machine and dryer. Strategic location near a train station, convenient stores, and Asakusa's famous tourist spots. Friendly and helpful staff who speak good English.

No negatives.

The hostel had spacious common areas including a big kitchen and common room. the bunk beds were sturdy and the curtains provided a sense of privacy. the location was convenient, with the main train station just a 10-minute walk away. There were also convenience stores and a 24-hour supermarket nearby.

The reception and some of the rooms were a bit shabby. the first room we were assigned had a smell and worn bedding.

I had a wonderful stay at a hostel in Ueno. The staff were extremely helpful, providing me with recommendations for restaurants and train lines. They even allowed me to store my luggage before and after check-in. The room I rented was clean, comfortable, and great value for money. I highly recommend this hostel for a comfortable and affordable stay in Ueno.

The staff at Khaosan World Asakusa Ryokan were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a great conversation with the receptionist who gave us useful tips for exploring the area. The facilities in the kitchen were excellent, with a wide range of warm and cold drinks available. The location in Asakusa was perfect, with easy access to metro stations and attractions like Sensoji temple. I highly recommend this hostel for budget travelers like myself.
