The traditional tea-making ceremony and sweets upon arrival set the tone for an authentic and immersive experience. The staff went above and beyond, providing suggestions for sightseeing and restaurants, and even engaging in friendly conversation during our delicious and personalized breakfast prepared right in front of us.

The hotel is conveniently located close to the center of Kyoto, making it easy to explore the city. It is also near many bus stops, providing easy transportation options. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with beautiful Japanese-style furnishings. The staff provide excellent service and are proactive in suggesting restaurants and places to visit. Additionally, the Japanese breakfast offered at the hotel is delicious and worth trying.

There was a problem with the fountain at the hotel, which was a bit disappointing to see.

The location was very close to the center of Kyoto, making it convenient for exploring the city. The staff were friendly and made me feel right at home. The room was spacious and had a beautiful outdoor hot bath and garden. The whole place had a lovely scent of wood and green tea. The breakfast was also a delight with its attention to detail. I highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant and authentic Japanese experience.

Beautiful traditional interior and garden. Exceptional multi-course Japanese breakfast. Tea bath is refreshing. Friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely return.

Spent New Year's at a traditional Japanese inn and it was a fantastic experience. the outdoor hot spring bath was amazing and added an extra layer of relaxation to our trip. Plus, the kaiseki dinner and breakfast were two of the best meals I've had in my life! the location was perfect as well, within walking distance to many attractions and sights.

Honestly, there wasn't much I disliked about the inn. the price was a bit on the high side, but for the quality of the experience and amenities, it was worth it.

Clean and comfortable suite with well-replenished amenities and complimentary mini bar. Impressive shower facilities with a rain shower and massager. The open-air bath offers incredible views of the night sky. Fluffy futon beds ensured a good night's sleep. Welcoming and attentive staff provided excellent service, including personalized birthday treats. Must-have breakfast with fresh grilled vegetables.
