My stay at Marukoma Onsen Ryokan was absolutely delightful. The hot spring was fantastic, and the staff were kind and friendly. I especially loved the beautiful view from the Ryokan and the neat and clean facility. The traditional Japanese room was spacious and comfortable, with a great view of the lake. The meals, including the delicious breakfast and dinner, were a highlight of the stay. I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Despite the cons mentioned in the database, such as the inconvenience of traveling with big luggage and the limited time given to explore the nearby ice festival, I still had a wonderful time at Marukoma Onsen Ryokan. The positives far outweighed any minor inconveniences.

Beautiful location next to a lake, with stunning views. The traditional Japanese room was cozy and it added to the whole Japanese experience, allowing us to try out some new traditions. The onsen was a highlight, with hot waters that relaxed us and made us feel good.

The food provided during our stay was very disappointing, especially since it was a special occasion. For the price we paid, we were expecting something better than a cheap box lunch with poorly prepared food.
