I had such a pleasant stay at the hotel. The location was absolutely perfect, right next to the famous Matsumoto Castle. The size of my room was surprising, as it was much larger than the other rooms I've stayed in during my Japan trip. I also appreciated the nearby coffee shops for a morning pick-me-up. I highly recommend this hotel for its great location and comfortable accommodations.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The location was perfect as it was situated in a quaint and charming neighborhood. I loved the fact that it was in the heart of the tourist area yet not too close to the station. The service provided by the staff was top-notch, and they were always there to assist with room service, housekeeping, and laundry. The shuttle service was also a big plus. The amenities, including the heating and air conditioning, sitting area, terrace, and soundproofed rooms. Moreover, the toiletries provided were free, and there was a refrigerator, electric kettle, flat-screen TV. The dining restaurant and the bar area were impressive, and the staff was very friendly, making this place a great choice.

Wonderful welcome, excellent onsen. We struggled finding a hotel in Matsumoto, but we were pleasantly surprised by our stay at Kagetsu. The location was perfect, close to the castle, art museum, and station. The warm welcome and the variety of choices at the Japanese breakfast buffet were delightful. The onsen in the basement was clean and relaxing after a long day of exploring. We also enjoyed the nearby sake shop with its selection of local sakes. I highly recommend this hotel.

We had an enjoyable weekend in a hotel that had plenty of history. They greeted us with welcome drinks and helped us find the best local restaurants close to the castle. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast buffet which offered a great variety of both classic and western options. the best aspect was the good-sized room, and a relaxing onsen that put us into a state of Zen.

The windows and the bathroom were the worst aspects, needing refurbishment and updates. the staff seemed a little unsettled upon arrival, which could be because a large travel group arrived at the same time as we did.

The room was spacious and comfortable, and I especially enjoyed the public bath area. The location was perfect, being within easy walking distance of the castle and many great restaurants and bars.
