This hotel is located just outside the tsunami hit area of Minamisanriku, providing a safe and tranquil atmosphere. The rooms are traditional Japanese style, with thin mattresses on the floor, giving guests a unique cultural experience. The hotel staff are extremely friendly and gracious, making guests feel welcome and cared for. The onsen, especially the outdoor one, offers breathtaking views. The traditional Japanese food served is fresh and tasty, ensuring a delightful culinary experience.

Some areas of the hotel may not be as well-maintained as desired.

The staffs were incredibly polite and helpful. The shuttle driver and receptionists were outstanding. The outdoor onsen offered a stunning view. The willingness to sit on the shuttle bus for 2 hours just to experience it is justified.

Spending Christmas at this hotel was a lovely experience. the hotel is located near the ocean providing stunning views and was decorated beautifully for the holiday season. the staff was friendly and accommodating, offering a complimentary hot drink upon arrival. the rooms were clean and spacious, with comfortable beds and traditional Japanese décor. I especially enjoyed the hot springs, which were well maintained and provided a relaxing atmosphere after a day of exploring.

Although the hotel provided a wonderful experience, I have to mention that some of the décor and amenities were a bit outdated. the restaurant had limited food options and the menu was not in English, which made ordering difficult.
