This hotel in the Higashiyama district is a hidden gem. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The attention to detail was impeccable, from the traditional yukata provided in the room to the delicious breakfast served every morning. The rooms themselves were cozy and authentic, with typical Japanese futon mattresses that provided a restful night's sleep. But perhaps the best part was the location. Situated in the charming Higashi Chaya district, staying at this hotel felt like stepping back in time. The maze of winding streets and the beautiful surroundings made me feel like I was living in a postcard.

Although there were some minor inconveniences, such as a lack of hot water upstairs and noise from the hallway, they did not overshadow the overall positive experience. We would definitely recommend this guesthouse to others seeking a true taste of Japanese living and excellent hospitality. We recently stayed at a traditional Japanese accommodation during our Easter break. the house was clean, well-kept, and had all the amenities we needed including a shower and a hot bath. Its location was perfectly situated near a bus stop and within walking distance of some beautiful sights. Plus, the owners were polite and helpful, making our stay feel comfortable.

The downside was that we had to walk for about 20 minutes to access some of the main attractions in the city center, but it was manageable and gave us a chance to explore the area. some restaurants in the nearby district closed early, so we sometimes had to search for ways to satisfy our hunger.
