The rooms were super spacious and comfy, perfect for hanging out with friends. The highlight was definitely the outdoor onsen, chilling in hot water while surrounded by cool mountain air was epic! And let's not forget about the amazing dinner and breakfast, so much delicious food! We also had a blast exploring Shibu and checking out the Sake Storehouse and Museum. Plus, skiing at Shiga Kogen Ski Resort was just a short drive away, so convenient!

The only thing we wished for was a more happening nightlife scene. Don't get me wrong, the hotel was cozy and perfect for chill evenings, but being young and party-loving, we craved some more excitement and places to hang out with other young people in the area.

Communication was a challenge as the owners did not speak English, requiring the use of translation tools. the area was quite rural, making it necessary to walk long distances even for basic amenities.

The rooms at Minshuku Miyama are spacious and the futons are incredibly comfortable. The onsen is fabulous and offers a private spa experience in the mornings. The ryokan is conveniently located within walking distance to the town and Jigokudani. The owners are lovely and offer complimentary pick-up from the train station, as well as drop-off at the entrance of Jigokudani. The highlight is the dinner, which is a delicious and affordable meal with a variety of dishes.

Being picked up and dropped off to the train station and monkey park was very helpful. the homemade Japanese breakfast and dinner were delicious and one of the best meals we've had on our trip. the onsen was a lovely addition and a great first-time experience.

We had an amazing time at a Ryokan in Nakano! The owners were extremely friendly and helpful, even though they didn't speak English. They provided us with a sign language book and flip charts to communicate. The place was clean and comfortable with working heaters, perfect for our winter stay. The private onsen was a highlight, especially with snow falling outside. Wearing Yukatas after a relaxing onsen experience was a fun cultural touch. The Kaiseki dinner was delicious and satisfying. Transportation was convenient, with the hosts picking us up and dropping us off at the train station. The location was within walking distance to the Snow Monkey park, a must-visit. I highly recommend this Ryokan for an unforgettable stay in Nakano.

The location was peaceful and away from the busy onsen village, allowing for a tranquil atmosphere. I particularly enjoyed the spacious roten bathroom, where I could relax alone. The hotel is also conveniently located near the monkey onsen spot, making it easy to visit. Plus, the amenities were excellent and the breakfast spread varied each day.
