I stayed at this Ryokan for a couple of days and it was one of the best I've been to in Japan. The service was excellent, the staff super friendly, and the food exceptionally good. The hotel had a traditional atmosphere with tatami rooms and sliding paper doors, making for an interesting experience. The location was close enough to walk from the train station and the price was very affordable. Highly recommended.

I had a fantastic stay at this ryokan in a very convenient location near the botanical garden. The hotel facilities were spotless and well-maintained, and I particularly loved the traditional tatami-style rooms. The breakfast spread was impressive, offering a wide variety of delicious choices from miso soup and rice to fresh fruit and bread. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable, providing helpful directions and even accommodating a pillow preference. I was able to relax and experience the true essence of a ryokan stay.

Great location in the heart of the city, within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Rooms were comfortable and traditional, with a nice tatami floor setup during the day. the onsen was fantastic and a real treat during our stay.

Wi-Fi was only available in the lobby, which was a bit inconvenient. the dryer in the laundry room was small and under-powered, making it difficult to fully dry clothes in a reasonable amount of time.

Everything was great, nothing to complain about.

I was pleasantly surprised by Nakamuraya Ryokan's attention to detail. Despite my request for a non-smoking room, I was initially placed near a designated smoking area. However, the staff quickly accommodated my request to change rooms. The meals were elaborate and beautifully presented, although some English translations would have been helpful. The outdoor baths were a luxurious touch, and the massage chairs in the basement spa were incredible. I highly recommend this hotel.
