We had a wonderful stay at a boutique ryokan in a serene spot away from the crowds of Hirafu. The common areas were inviting, with a beautiful central fireplace and a cool wooded bar. The traditional Japanese menus were of very good quality, and the onsen spa room was clean and delightful. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to make our experience fantastic. I would highly recommend this hotel for a peaceful and relaxing getaway.

I had one of the most memorable stays here. The ambiance was spectacular, with a mix of traditional and modern design. The staff was incredibly accommodating and helpful in every way. The food at the restaurant was outstanding, with beautifully presented dishes that left me wanting more. We stayed at a ryokan during the New Year holiday and enjoyed the traditional Japanese-style rooms. The onsen was also a highlight of our stay. The hot water was clean and the view of the snowy surroundings was a great experience. The shuttle service to the nearby ski resort was also convenient. it was a great experience to enjoy Japanese hospitality and culture during the holiday season.

Despite paying for a half-board package, the dishes were average and not up to our expectations. The breakfast and dinner menus were repetitive and lacked creativity.
