The hotel was in a super chill location, making it easy to explore all of Kyoto. We hit up the epic Fushimi Inari Shrine and then checked out the mind-blowing Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. Seriously, we felt like we were in a fairy tale! It was lit!

The only thing we'd ask for is a cooler rooftop hangout spot. We wanted to party and soak up the dope Kyoto skyline, but there wasn't really a fun spot to do it.

Excellent coffee and beverage station in the lobby. Comfortable bed, good water pressure in the shower. Better quality facility than expected for the price. Great location, close to cafes, restaurants, and shops. Nearby convenience store for convenience.

We absolutely loved our stay at Oakwood Hotel. The newly opened hotel impressed us with its beautiful and clean facilities. The room was functional and spacious, providing us with all the comfort we needed. The location was fantastic, allowing us to explore the city on foot and indulge in delicious dining options nearby. The complimentary coffee station in the room and the work area in the lobby were great additions that made our business trip even more enjoyable. The staff, especially the manager, were extremely friendly and helpful. We also appreciated the laundry facilities and the free flowing drinks after a long day out. we highly recommend this hotel for its excellent value, convenient location, and impeccable service.

Friendly staff, clean and secure room, good water pressure, convenient location near subway and bus. Enjoyed using the shower and had a quiet, restful sleep. Amenities provided included pyjamas, big TV, and as pictured in the photos.

loved the comfy beds, beautiful bathroom and great location of this newly opened hotel. The staff was incredibly helpful and even took care of our luggage and shopping bags. The little coffee station in the room and work area in the lobby were convenient bonuses. Definitely recommend!

air conditioner was disappointing

We recently stayed at a hotel that was in a fantastic location. It was close to several subway lines, making it easy for us to explore the city. We were also just a short walk away from Nishiki Market, where we enjoyed trying local delicacies. The room was clean and comfortable, with a spacious bathroom and a smart TV that allowed us to watch videos on YouTube. We were impressed with the friendly and accommodating staff, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The complimentary Nespresso Machine and Bluetooth speaker were nice touches too.

That there was only one sachet of green tea provided in the room. It would have been nice to have a couple more for a longer stay.

The studio with kitchen and washing machine was comfortable and clean. Great location near Teramachi, Pontochou, and Ginza. Bus and metro stations nearby. Perfect for morning runs in the Imperial Gardens. French bakery around the corner.

The shower experience at Oakwood was the BEST I have ever had! The water pressure was perfect, making it such a refreshing and enjoyable experience. Additionally, the room was super clean and the facilities were new and well-maintained. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our happiness, making our stay truly memorable. The shower experience was amazing, the water pressure was perfect and the bathroom was well kept. the room was clean, secure and comfortable with a big TV that had access to Netflix, YouTube, Hulu etc. the location was great, close to main temples and subway/bus stations. We also loved the free Nespresso capsules and the complimentary bottle of sake as a honeymoon gift.

Only one sachet of green tea was provided and we couldn't figure out how to charge the iPad in the room.

I had a fantastic stay at Oakwood. the location was perfect, with the hotel being close to Gion, the main temples, and other attractions. the facilities were new and well-maintained, and my room was incredibly clean. the shower experience was outstanding, with perfect water pressure. the huge TV in the room with access to streaming services was a great bonus. the staff went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction, making our experience truly exceptional. a great hotel experience!

The hotel is conveniently located near Nishiki market, making it easy to explore and enjoy the local cuisine. It is also close to a subway station, allowing for easy access to other parts of the city. it is situated near the river, providing a picturesque setting for leisurely walks.

Some rooms may be on the smaller side, making it a bit challenging to open two large suitcases comfortably.

Perfect stay exploring culture and history. Helpful staff. Convenient location in the heart of the city. Safety features include a fire extinguisher. Amenities like coffee shop, in case I need caffeine after my nap.

No champagne fountain in the lobby. How dare they!
