Loved the Welcome Counter at Kyoto Train Station, so convenient to leave my bags. The free shuttle bus to Otsu Train Station was a nice touch. Oh, and the view from Shimizu Japanese Restaurant was absolutely stunning!

Ice, such a common thing in 4-star hotels, had to be bought at the shop. How inconvenient!

I had a really good time staying here. The hotel is situated along a promenade to a beautiful lake which is perfect for a leisurely walk in the afternoon. The shuttle service provided was helpful and reliable, taking me to and from the train station quickly. The staff at the reception desk were friendly and welcoming. My room was very comfortable and had a sitting area, tea and coffee facilities and a flat-screen TV with plenty of channels.

The room and view were beautiful, and the newly refurbished room on the 33rd floor was huge and offered jaw-dropping views. the courtesy bus was very convenient, and the location was excellent, with easy access to Kyoto via the efficient trains. Renting a bike to ride to Ishiyamadera was a enjoyable and convenient option as well.

Some of the restaurants were quite expensive, but fortunately, there were plenty of other dining options nearby. the check-in process was super slow and there were long wait times for breakfast.
