Our stay at Richmond Hotel was fantastic! The location was incredibly convenient, being close to Kyoto station and allowing easy access to nearby areas like Uji and Nara. The room we had was surprisingly spacious, especially for Japanese standards. We also appreciated the environmentally sustainable room service option, which not only gave us a guilt-free experience but also provided gift cards that we could use at various shops.

Although there were a few drawbacks, such as the confusion with the bed arrangements for our group of five and the limited breakfast options, the overall experience was still enjoyable. The hotel amenities were top-notch, and we particularly loved the complementary Japanese sweets and liquor, even though they were something we don't typically consume.

The hotel is conveniently located very close to the station, making it easy to travel around the area. There are plenty of great small restaurants nearby, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with everything you could need. The shower is also spacious, perfect for a relaxing hot bath after a long day of exploring.

There is no microwave in the room.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Our recent stay during Easter at a hotel in a busy area was surprisingly peaceful. the Japanese garden and stream created a tranquil atmosphere. the breakfast spread and 3 daily food offerings were delicious and complementary. the location was perfect being close to transportation for getting around and exploring the area.

We were given the wrong room number but reception quickly resolved the issue. payment at a machine was a bit of a hassle.

I was pleasantly surprised by the attention to detail at this hotel. From the moment I checked in, the staff were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to assist me with dinner reservations, despite the language barrier. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with all the basic amenities I needed. I particularly appreciated the little touches like the complimentary coffee, tea, and juices available throughout the day. The convenient location near the station and bus stop made exploring the city a breeze.

No complaints at all, everything was great.

Short walk from the train station. Excellent breakfast buffet with a wide variety of Japanese and Western options. Beds were just right in terms of firmness. Staff were very helpful, even at 5am in the morning when we needed assistance finding a hospital for our sick child.

Felt like visiting family, no complaints.
