The staff were friendly and provided top-notch service, especially the ladies at breakfast. Speaking of which, the breakfast was delicious, and the dinner buffet exceeded my expectations. The room was spacious and had a lovely touch with lavender on the side of the tatami. The staff were attentive, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. I will definitely be returning.

We were truly impressed with the traditional Japanese experience at Shuhokaku Kogetsu. The spacious room with futon bedding was incredibly comfortable, and the in-room kaiseki dinner was a culinary delight. The staff went above and beyond, even during a typhoon, packing us a thoughtful breakfast to-go. The genuine care they showed left us feeling touched and grateful. We will definitely be returning to this exceptional hotel. I highly recommend this hotel.

Getting to the hotel was a little tricky with limited transportation options from the nearby town. the rooms were a bit small and the temperature control was not very effective.

We went fishing and canoeing on the beautiful Lake Kawaguchiko, which was such a fun experience for the whole family. The kids absolutely loved being out on the water and trying their hand at fishing. The staff at the hotel were incredibly helpful in organizing these activities and made sure we had a wonderful time. It was a great way to bond as a family and create lasting memories.

My wife says that it would have been great if there were more children-friendly amenities or a kids' play area.

We had an unforgettable stay at a hotel with magnificent views of Mt Fuji. the room and hotel garden provided breathtaking views, especially during sunrise and sunset. the onsen with its majestic views of Mt Fuji was the best we've experienced in Japan. the hotel's location, away from the busier tourist areas, offered a more serene and quiet atmosphere. the staff were attentive and spoke English. the complimentary beer and white wine near the onsen entrance added to our relaxation and enjoyment. Breakfast was fantastic with a wide range of cuisines, including delicious freshly fried tempura.
