The hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating, even though I couldn't speak Japanese. The traditional drum performance on the first night and the morning prayers were truly special experiences. The food served was delicious and authentic, giving me a taste of Japanese cuisine. Sleeping on tatami mats and futons was a unique and comfortable experience. The beautiful garden with Koi fish and the opportunity to wear yakutas/kimonos added to the charm of the place. Attending the Buddhist prayer service was a peaceful and memorable moment. I was able to escape the busy lifestyle and truly rest and reflect in the serene surroundings of the accommodation. It was a once in a lifetime experience that I will cherish forever.

The traditional setting of Temple Lodging Shukubo Kakurinbo was absolutely amazing. Upon arrival, I was greeted by friendly staff dressed in yukatas who served me tea. The views of the mountains were breathtaking, especially during the early morning Buddhist prayer ceremony. I couldn't resist climbing the 294 stairs, and the effort was definitely worth it. The food served was also delicious, with a great range of options. The ambiance was authentic Japanese, and the staff were always eager to assist, providing recommendations for the area. my stay at Temple Lodging Shukubo Kakurinbo exceeded my expectations.

The location was quiet and picturesque, surrounded by beautiful Buddhist temples and a charming shopping street. The staff was super friendly and some spoke English, making communication easy. The meals, although simple and vegetarian, were deliciously prepared and beautifully served. The futon bedding in our room was extremely comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep.

Highly recommended for all travelers, especially solo travelers looking for unique and offbeat experiences. the surrounding area is stunning and the small town is incredibly cute.
