The lobby area was great for working or reading, and they had free coffee, tea, and water available. The manga library was a unique concept, and even though I didn't read any, it was interesting to see. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The amenities in the lobby were convenient on a take-what-you-need basis.

The beds in the first room I was allocated were extremely dirty with oil spots on the duvet. Although the reception lady did offer us a new room, she didn't apologize for the inconvenience.

This hotel is a great value for money. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the central location. I was able to walk to the castle, imperial palace, market, and Gion, which was pretty good. The staff is friendly and attentive, making sure all my basic amenities were provided in the nice and well-equipped rooms. The attention to detail is also evident, with a nice touch of having a mini drink area with coffee, tea, and matcha.
