I got really good value for my money at The Pocket Hotel Kyoto Karasuma Gojo. The room was small but well-equipped, and the location was perfect for my solo travel adventures. The staff was friendly and the hotel had great amenities, like purified water and reliable internet.

The breakfast option could be improved by offering free tea and coffee in addition to water.

The shared showers were spacious and well-maintained, and the purified water throughout the hotel was a nice touch. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, providing helpful tourist information in the lobby. The breakfast options were delicious and filling, and the shower room felt like a calming onsen.

The hotel's location was very convenient as it was very close to the subway station, making it easy to travel around the city. the room was also very clean and well-maintained, which was appreciated. the inclusion of basic amenities such as pyjamas, hairdryer, and toiletries was a nice touch.

The room did not have a window that could be opened, which made it feel a bit stuffy. the ventilation was not adequate.

Bigger rooms, many shower rooms, near restaurants, walking distance to Kyoto station, USB ports in rooms, clean and comfy beds.

The staff was friendly and the hotel provided useful amenities like a tablet in the room that allowed us to see the availability of the showers in real-time. The shared bathrooms and restrooms were clean and modernized, and towels were changed daily. I also appreciated the option to borrow loungewear/pajamas and the purified water in the hotel that allowed us to refill our water bottles.

The location of the hotel is incredibly convenient, with the metro station just a few steps away. This makes exploring the city hassle-free. The rooms, although small, are comfortable and come with free toiletries and even pyjamas. The breakfast served at the restaurant is delicious and filling, giving you a great start to your day.

It would be better if the windows in the rooms could be opened for fresh air in the morning.

We loved staying at this hotel. the location was perfect, being extremely close to Gojo Subway station, which made it very easy to explore Kyoto. the rooms, although narrow, were well-equipped and had a unique and lovely design. We appreciated the shared bathrooms and shower spaces, which were always clean and equipped with antibacterial spray. the purified water in the hotel was a bonus, as we could easily fill up our water bottles before heading out for the day. the internet was reliable, and the air conditioning was a welcome relief in August. the staff were friendly and helpful, and we even had access to useful amenities like a microwave and water cooker in the lobby.
