We had an amazing stay at this traditional inn. the staff at Utsuroi Tsuchiya Annex were incredibly accommodating, even though we spoke very little Japanese. the rooms were spotlessly clean and the onsen bath was refreshing. the location was perfect for exploring the beautiful Kinosaki onsen area, with easy access to several free public onsen. Our favorite was Satono-yu, a spacious and welcoming onsen that would be great for foreigners new to the experience. the inn also provided umbrellas, yukata, and complimentary shuttles to the station, making our stay even more convenient. this was the highlight of our trip to Japan and we can't wait to come back.

The place was mind-blowingly well-designed, with jaw-droppingly cosy rooms and super friendly staff/family. The owner personally reached out to me and drove me to the place, offering exceptional service. Breakfast wasn't included, but I highly recommend trying out their cafe!

the owner of the place was always friendly and willing to help us, providing guidance and assistance with a smile. the cozy room was perfectly located, with two onsen within a couple of minutes walk. the hotel provided everything we needed for a complete experience, including an amazing breakfast. We chose the traditional Japanese breakfast on our last day and it was truly incredible. the food was delicious, beautifully presented, and the staff kindly explained each dish. We will definitely return and recommend this place to our family and friends.

We recently stayed at a beautiful ryokan in Kinosaki Onsen. the rooms were large and comfortable, and the traditional yukata provided added a cozy touch. the staff, especially the landlady, were extremely friendly and accommodating. the ryokan was conveniently located near bathhouses and the ropeway to enjoy stunning views of the region. We also appreciated the easy access to shops, restaurants, and the local post office for money exchange. the value for money at this ryokan was excellent, and we are already planning to come back!

I recently had the most amazing experience during my stay in a budget hotel in Japan. The warm and friendly welcome, along with a complimentary cup of tea, made me instantly feel at home. The staff went above and beyond by providing a detailed guide and even driving me to the train station for my early departure. The room was cozy and clean, and I loved the beautiful mural painted by a family member. The private onsen and cafe on the first floor were also delightful additions to my stay.

Some miscommunication about the timing of the onsen pass pickup left me waiting until 3PM.

I recently stayed at Utsuroi Tsuchiya Annex for a short getaway and it was absolutely delightful! The location was perfect, right at the end of the charming shopping street lined with Sakura trees. The owners were incredibly sweet and understanding, despite my limited Japanese language skills. The room was lovely, with a warm welcome of green tea and a heartfelt handwritten card. The experience of wearing a yukata and exploring the town and onsen was simply beautiful. Highly recommend!

I had the most amazing time at a cozy ryokan I recently stayed in. The location was perfect, nestled in a quaint corner and conveniently close to the ropeway station. Not only was the town filled with beautiful public onsens within walking distance, but the owner of the ryokan was incredibly friendly and helpful. I was blown away by her strength when she carried my heavy luggage all the way to the third floor. And on the day of my departure, she even went above and beyond by driving me to the train station in the early morning hours. The personal touch and exceptional service made me feel like I was staying with family. I highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a home away from home experience. I would definitely stay here again and I can't thank the owner, Kim San, enough for making my stay so memorable.

The location was perfect, close to shops, onsens, and dining options. The owner, Yamada-san, was incredibly hospitable and even gave us recommendations on where to go and what to see. The private baths were a nice touch, and we enjoyed the modernist architecture and gorgeous artworks throughout the ryokan. we highly recommend this hotel for a warm and welcoming experience in Toyooka.

The hotel has two great things: the room and the onsen. the room was decently clean and had comfortable amenities. the onsen was soothing and was perfect to unwind after a day of exploring. Another bonus is that the hotel is located near the railway station and it was easy to walk to.

Christmas was a disappointment at this hotel. the hotel lacked festive decorations and atmosphere.
