We had an amazing stay at Unplan Kagurazaka! the hostel's modern design and attractive interiors made it the best-looking hostel we've ever stayed at. the spacious dorms and private bedboxes were a welcome change from cramped capsules. the staff even organized fun activities like a sushi party during our stay. the showers were good, though having more toilets for the ladies would be beneficial. the location was convenient, with a 5-minute walk to the Kagarazuka subway station. We enjoyed a simple breakfast of bread, eggs, and a drink, and there was a convenient store just a 2-minute walk away.

The attached cafe/bar provided a social area to meet other travelers. the design felt clean and modern.

I really got great value for my money at this hostel. The private room was spacious and even had a terrace, which was a pleasant surprise. The location was fantastic, with easy access to public transportation and a beautiful neighborhood to explore. The staff were so friendly and went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable.

The only thing that could have made the morning meal better was if there were more vegetarian options. However, this is pretty typical in Japan.
