We had a wonderful stay at Juneberry Lodge. The log home was absolutely beautiful, and the views of Kachemak Bay were breathtaking. The hosts, Marcia and Mannfried, were warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The breakfasts were delicious, especially the blueberry sourdough pancakes! We enjoyed exploring the historic house and learning about its former owner. The location was perfect, nestled above the bay and close enough to town for convenience. We even spotted an eagle's nest nearby. Despite the minor inconvenience of the private bathroom being across the corridor, we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I highly recommend Juneberry Lodge for anyone visiting Homer.

As the first guests of the season, we were warmly welcomed by the hosts and their adorable dog. the bed was comfortable, the room clean, and the sitting area provided a great space to relax. We had the pleasure of spending the morning chatting with the hosts, who shared their stories and gave us a tour of their house filled with cherished memories. the breakfast served by Mannfried was delicious, with pancakes and omelettes that hit the spot. We left feeling like we had made new friends and can't wait to return.

We loved the fact that this hotel is directly opposite the beach, allowing us easy access to the stunning sandy shores. The location in a relatively quiet area ensured a peaceful stay, and we enjoyed taking walks along Kuta beach. One negative aspect was that our room didn't have a blackout blind, so it was never completely dark. This made it a bit difficult to sleep, especially with the midnight sun.
