We recently stayed at a beautiful resort in an African paradise. The location was breathtaking, with stunning sunset views right on the water. The staff at Majlis Resort were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The Italian food served at the restaurant was delicious, especially the risotto and perfectly cooked pasta. The design of the hotel was a beautiful mix of Swahili architecture and local artifacts, creating a unique and inspiring atmosphere. We loved the spacious family suite, which felt like a gracious private home with its white slipcovers, local antiques, and stunning paintings. The resort offered a variety of activities, such as kayaking and exploring historic Lamu Island. We cannot wait to return to this little slice of heaven. I highly recommend this hotel.

Located in front of the ocean, The Majlis Resort offers breathtaking views of the surrounding Lamu islands. With access to the most beautiful beaches, guests can enjoy long walks and a peaceful atmosphere. The rooms are elegantly designed and spacious, providing a comfortable stay. The staff is welcoming and attentive, ensuring that guests have a pleasant experience. The resort also offers a variety of activities such as dhow sailing and boat rides, adding to the overall enjoyment of the stay.

Some guests have mentioned that signing a sheet for transport can be a bit inconvenient.

Arriving at this exclusive venue feels like stepping into a luxurious dream. the rooms are spacious and elegantly decorated, with private balconies overlooking the sea. the sun terrace is a perfect spot for relaxation and pampering with spa, beach access, swimming pools and great food. the staff is kind and attentive, making us feel both welcome and pampered. We enjoyed a range of special diet menus and private facilities that exceeded our expectations.

Although we found this venue to be a marvellous retreat, we noticed a minor issue with some of the leisure/ TV room amenities. the service was prompt, yet at times attentive could have been more involved.

I had a wonderful stay at the Majlis Resort. The staff were friendly and always ready to assist. The food from the restaurant was amazing and I enjoyed the spacious room and accommodating bathroom. The hotel provided convenient airport transfers and it was great to learn about the history of the area from the knowledgeable staff. The decor was thoughtful and interesting, and there were plenty of relaxing spots by the pool or sea. a relaxing and comfortable experience.

I would highly recommend this hotel.
