Great location near Pantai Cenang, peaceful atmosphere, clean and traditional chalets, helpful and friendly staff, great value for money.

The hotel's location is perfect, being very close to Cenang village and a great beach. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with luxurious facilities like air conditioning and a TV. The bathroom is also spacious, with a lovely outdoor shower. The staff is very helpful and trustworthy, always delivering on their promises. Additionally, the hotel offers free bikes for guests to use and the Wi-Fi works perfectly.

The breakfast menu is a bit odd, with items like spring rolls and samosas which are not particularly Malaysian.

The view of the paddy fields surrounding the traditional Malay-style house was beautiful, and the outdoor shower was a unique experience. the location was excellent as it was only a short walk to the beach and restaurants. It was also helpful to have free bicycles available to explore the area.

There were many mosquitoes in the evening and early morning due to the still water in the rice paddies. the breakfast was not tasty, with overly sweetened jam and processed sausages.

Lovely Stay at Gemalai Village

After a long journey from the UK, my partner and I had a fantastic start to our trip with a delightful two-night stay at Gemalai Village in Langkawi. The surroundings were picturesque, with beautiful rice fields, water buffalo, and traditional Malay huts creating a serene atmosphere. The service was impeccable, as the staff warmly welcomed us with refreshing beverages and even drove us to our hut at nighttime. We were impressed by the special toiletries provided and the delicious breakfast served, which was one of the best we experienced during our travels. Although there were some slight variations in portion sizes, it didn't diminish our overall enjoyment. The memories of our stay at Gemalai Village will always hold a special place in my heart. I highly recommend this delightful retreat.

The location is perfect, with the hotel being close to Cenang Beach and just a short walk or bike ride away from other beautiful beaches.
