Minor Construction Noise

This charming hotel is located in a rural area, yet it is close to everything. In just a few minutes, you can walk to the main square and enjoy the bustling atmosphere. The rooms have loads of character, with tiled floors and high decorative ceilings. The bathrooms are beautifully designed with colorful mosaic tiles. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they even arranged an early morning taxi for us. The rooftop terrace offers stunning views, perfect for photographers.

The breakfast at the hotel's restaurant was not very impressive, but with plenty of dining options within walking distance, it's easy to explore other places to eat.

Hard beds, not great for back problems.

During our recent stay at Hotel Colonial, I was pleasantly surprised by the rich history and charm of the hotel. The room we stayed in had high ceilings and a great view of the courtyard, creating a comfortable and airy atmosphere. The location of the hotel is unbeatable, right in the center of all the action with shops, markets, and the zocalo nearby. The inner courtyard with native plants and the view of the nearby cathedrals from upstairs were definitely highlights of our stay. Despite being a historic building, the room was clean and well-maintained.

Although there were a few drawbacks, such as the room being noisy at times and lacking air conditioning, these were minor inconveniences compared to the overall positive experience. The staff, especially the waiters in the restaurant, were knowledgeable and hospitable, making our stay even more enjoyable.

As longer term business travelers, we highly enjoyed the perfect location near the Zocalo and historic areas. The hotel's beautiful colonial building was impeccably maintained and exuded an authentic charm. The busy restaurant on-site was a great convenience. The helpful staff went above and beyond, even opening doors at 4am. The windows were of excellent quality, keeping the room quiet despite being on a busy street. The hotel's architecture was amazing, showcasing colonial charm.

There are some very good restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel, offering a variety of dining options. the staff at the hotel were friendly and accommodating, making our stay pleasant and enjoyable.

The beds in the hotel were too firm for our liking, which made it difficult to get a comfortable night's sleep. the restaurant at the hotel was usually crowded with tour groups, making it challenging to secure a table and enjoy a meal.

Our corner room was spacious and had double-paned windows that kept out street noise. The views from the rooftop were absolutely breathtaking. We were also treated to free music performances right outside our window. The hotel was clean and had a good restaurant on-site. we highly recommend this hotel for its incredible location and amazing views.
